Getting the material in.

Uprezing, a.k.a. upresing is the process of  bringing tape based material into an NLE. The term was implies that the original material was captured at a resolution lower than required for the final product which is not always the case. The more accurate term “capturing” is preferred.

Uprezing also reffers to upscaling of picture information as in upconversions to HD and similar processes.
