Createproject Python script\u00a0is used for Media Composer finishing project preparation. It\u00a0automatically creates:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Custom named Media Composer project with custom bins.<\/li>\n
  2. Custom named Avid MediaFiles\/MXF media storage directory.<\/li>\n
  3. Custom named ancillary storage path for elements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In addition, createproject.py backs up the bin containing the locked sequence to the ancillary storage and copies it to\u00a0SEQ Avid bin inside the project. Upon completion createproject.py sends emails to one or more recipients.<\/p>\n

    The user configurable template project contains\u00a0bins used for the project creation.<\/p>\n

    The script requires Python 2.7x install in Windows. Python is installed in OS X by default.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Minimal user configuration of the script is required.<\/p>\n

    Usage<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The script is suited for episodic show use. The bin should contain no spaces and be named as:<\/p>\n

    <SHOW INITIALS>_<EPISODE NUMBER>[AnyText].avb<\/pre>\n
    An example valid name is: ABC_101_FinalLocked.avb.<\/p>\n

    Drag-and-drop Avid bin onto the script icon.<\/p>\n
    OS X<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Double click the script icon.<\/li>\n
    2. Drag-and-drop Avid bin onto the Terminal window<\/li>\n
