1. 100% QC
A detailed Quality Control of a video tape master.
2. 1K Tone
Alignment audio signal at 1KHz frequency. 1K is typically recorded from 00:58:30:00 trough 00:59:30:00 on video tapes.
3. 2-pop
A one frame long picture and sound sync marker placed exactly 2 seconds before program start. Most often but not always 2-pop is placed at 00:59:58:00.
4. ADR
Automatic Dialog Replacement. The process of dialog re-recording in studio. A.K.A. "Looping."
5. Assemble
Assemble edit is a destructive video tape edit. It has clean IN and dirty OUT.
6. Authoring
A process of DVD or other non linear media creation.
7. B&C
A "Blacked and Coded" video tape is a tape with black video, silence and continuous time code recorded over the entire tape. Such tape is suitable for insert edits.
8. Bandwidth
A measure of amount of information that can be passed through.
9. Bars

10. Black and Code
A "Blacked and Coded" video tape is a tape with black video, silence and continuous time code recorded over the entire tape. Such tape is suitable for insert edits.
