SANTA MONICA, Calif. — March 31, 2010 — Company 3 has signed on as an Industry Sponsor of the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.
As an Industry Sponsor, Company 3 is offering $100,000 in postproduction services to the winners of the Best New York Narrative and Best New York Documentary Awards, co-hosting the New York Filmmakers party on April 20th, and providing postproduction services to Tribeca for its promotional trailers.
“We have always been a big supporter of independent filmmakers,” says Stefan Sonnenfeld, President and Managing Director of Company 3. “New York filmmakers are particularly important to us as we look towards the launch of our new 30,000 square foot DI facility located in the heart of Chelsea which will house both Company 3 and its sister visual effects facility, Method. It’s another reason that it’s so exciting for us to be part of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.”
While widely recognized within the industry as the as the go-to shop for major studio features, Company 3 has also collaborated on numerous independent films, most recently having provided post production and color grading work to films such as “The Hurt Locker,” “A Single Man,” “Waiting for Superman,” and “Brooklyn’s Finest.”
The 2010 film selection encompasses feature films from 38 different countries, including 44 World, eight International, 14 North American, six U.S. and 12 New York Premieres, including seven titles that are part of the fourth annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival. The 2010 film slate was chosen from a total of 5,055 submissions, a record number for the Festival.
